What’s Happening in September?

1 September 2016

We’ve got loads to look forward to at the start of the new season…

September is a time of change. The new season is upon us, and doubtless all you football-lovers will be frantically trying to get into shape to keep up with the pace of the game.

It can also be a stressful time of year for those trying to cling onto the summer holidays in the hopes that the school term will be put back by more and more inset days.

But alas, it always seems to catch up with us. This month of drastic change is here to throw all those unexpected challenges at us once again.

But, you need fear no longer, as we at City of Football have some events to take your mind off the boring stuff and keep you fit and inspired so you’re constantly raring to go on the pitch.

On Tuesday 6 September, we have a Multi-Sport Mash Up at the Forest Sports Zone, featuring a guest appearance from England and Notts County Goalkeeper, Carly Telford. Teams of five will be competing to see who’s the best at rugby, football and netball combined.

On Saturday 10 September, we’re booked in for a Beat the Goalie Challenge at the Pearson Centre in Beeston as part of the Family Fun Day, which includes a bouncy castle and bake sale.

On Thursday 15 September, England’s women take on Estonia at Meadow Lane in what should be an intriguing match as part of our Lionesses qualifying campaign for Euro 2017. Tickets are still available here.

Finally, two regulars for us will restart this month with Female Football Fives and Rusty Returners kicking off on Monday 19 and Wednesday 21 September respectively.
